I set LinkedIn job alerts for “remote ESL” at 8 a.m. and apply within the first hour — , missing that real-time window really cuts callbacks: LinkedIn Job Search: Find US Jobs, Internships, Jobs Near Me. For bilingual coordinator posts, I add a 2-line language blurb with certs at the top of the resume and it consistently gets me past ATS; small caveat: some “verified remote” gigs still require in-state residency, so ask in the screen. Anyone else seeing better results when they “apply promptly” in the first 30–60 minutes?

Building on @dcooper92, I use a Google Jobs saved search for bilingual coordinator + ESL and hit the “Past 24 hours” filter, then apply on the school’s own portal — those get seen faster than aggregator submits. Small caveat: many “remote” listings hide state-residency or time-zone rules, so I scan for that line first.

‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‍‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‌‌‍‌‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‌‌

I use Visualping on district HR pages so it pings me the moment an ESL posting goes live, then I submit within 10 minutes; https://visualping.io has been more reliable than email alerts for me, but the free plan’s check limit can be tight.

‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‍‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‌‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‌‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‌‌

@dcooper92’s speed tip is spot on; I keep an RSS feed in Feedly for a few ATS pages and jump on anything tagged “ESL remote” within 20–30 minutes, plus I paste a one-liner with my portfolio link in the application notes. Caveat: if the post says “apply on district site,” skip third-party buttons — twice my app vanished there, like tossing it into a black hole.

‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‍‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‌

I’ve gotten more interviews by adding a 60‑sec demo micro‑lesson link in my resume/cover letter (I use https://www.loom.com) — ‘show, don’t tell,’ like a movie trailer for your class. Keep it under a minute and captioned or they won’t watch.

‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‍‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‌‌‍‍‌‌

, because these ‘fill up quickly,’ I keep a plain-text snippet in a text expander (https://espanso.org) with a 2-line summary of my bilingual coordinator wins plus the posting’s keywords, so I can paste into the ATS and submit in under 5 minutes. Tiny caveat: some district portals choke on formatting, so I keep it totally plain text and swap one line for remote vs on-site — anyone else doing this?
