I’ve had good luck landing CA ESL interviews via https://www.edjoin.org — save searches for ‘EL/ELD’ and set alerts; these listings disappear like concert tickets. Despite the ‘apply promptly’ note, don’t overlook remote posts on individual community college sites, which often don’t hit the big boards.

@carolyn92j One thing that got me two CA ESL interviews: apply via the CCC Registry (https://www.cccregistry.org) and immediately email the ESL department chair with a 5–6 line note + your evening/weekend availability; small caveat — some districts only hire from existing pools, but that follow-up bumped me to the top.

Since postings are ‘real-time,’ I keep a one-page teaching demo link and a generic cover letter ready to send within an hour; that’s gotten me quick callbacks for noncredit in SoCal. For colleges, search for “Noncredit ESL” and “Adult Education” in addition to ESL — those hire faster than credit and sometimes list remote. @carolyn92j when I email the chair, I cc the dean and include a 60-second intro video; response rate jumps.
