It’s wild how some can pull off last-minute success like that! I once had a student who only showed for finals, claiming they learned everything from YouTube – they aced it too, but it makes you wonder if they’re missing the deeper learning. Sometimes I wonder if these students are just gaming the system by finding the easier routes, like studying online with pizza in hand… I had a kid do something similar and ace a final too, but it’d be nice to see them engage during the semester.
